The Lei We Weave

The Lei We Weave marks Aloha Hula Studio’s inaugural hōʻike performance. We present stories between Hawaiʻi and the Philippines that embrace lineage and connection in community, and move through the creative journey from the dream to the dance. The Lei We Weave brings together the vibrant colors of oral tradition, human experience, and cultural stories through the essence of collective rhythm and natural harmonies. Featuring guests: Filipino practitioner Joel Jacinto, choreographers Tula B. Strong and Emily Berdeja, and playwright Kiki Rivera, with live music by 4 The Love. Join us for an evening of storytelling through dance, music, and art.
